Webster Sound Body Sound Mind Fitness Center
Webster Physical Education Department obtained a grant to create a fitness center by Sound Body Sound Mind. This fitness center is addition to our diverse curriculum , which benefits our students in broadening their knowledge of sport, health and fitness.
The mission of the Sound Body Sound Mind Foundation is to promote self-confidence and healthy lifestyle choices among today’s youth.
Inadequate physical activity is a behavioral pattern established during youth. Many schools have been forced to cut back or eliminate resources for physical education, contributing to an increased number of overweight, physically inactive students. Our goal is to help schools and educators prepare students for a lifetime of healthy activity.
The vision of the Sound Body Sound Mind Foundation is to ensure every student has the fitness resources, knowledge, and opportunity to live a health and active lifestyle.
We believe that with the support of schools, communities and families, students will achieve their fitness goals and build a high degree of self-confidence that will extend into all areas of their lives. Sound Body Sound Mind is one of the most exciting fitness programs to be introduced at the high school and middle school level.
