Mission

Daniel Webster Middle School and S.T.E.A.M. Magnet Center exists to provide a 21st-century education to all students based on the principles of creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and communication. We provide a teaching and learning environment that values respect, responsibility, honesty, safety, life-long learning, and an appreciation of differences. Our enriched multi-disciplinary academic program allows students to culminate with the ability to transfer knowledge between all disciplines, and creates a bridge to any pathway of interest they choose to pursue.

Principal’s Message

Dear Daniel Webster Middle School Families,
 
I hope you have had a chance to recharge, relax, and read a good book this summer. I am honored and humbled to return to Daniel Webster as your Principal for the 2025-2026 school year. As we kick off this new academic year, I want to emphasize the importance of Attendance, Wellness, and Instruction for all students. We will continue to implement the LAUSD District Strategic Plan to ensure student success. The first day of the new school year begins on Thursday, August 14, 2025 2 8:00 am. All of us at Daniel Webster are looking forward to a successful year of learning, growth, and collaboration. Our Paxton-Patterson Lab continues to expand and will further support our STEAM curriculum. We are also excited to embrace the French Academy, continuing to offer the first on-site middle school French Dual Language Program in all of LAUSD!
I would like to extend a warm welcome to all new and returning students and families! I am excited and looking forward to seeing everyone on August 14th at 8 am. It is imperative that our students arrive at school on time with a charged device every day and cell phone away for learning. As your principal, I welcome your comments, suggestions, and collaboration to support learning and school site growth.
We will continue hosting monthly 'Coffee with the Principal' sessions for parents, guardians, and the community, which will support collaboration and provide updates from our Every School Safe Platform called "WE ARE ONE". As we prepare for the upcoming school year, I want to emphasize the importance of cultivating joy, safe school community and employing the best educational practices for our students’ success. Together, we will work diligently to create a safe and conducive environment for all learners.

Winter Wonderland Dance Wednesday, December 17 @ 3:15-4:30 pm. in Daniel's Den. Ticket sales this week. Late bus pick up for regular riders at 4:30 pm. Pick up for other students at school at 4:30 pm if they attend the dance.
