Library Media Center

Vision & Mission: Daniel Webster Middle School and S.T.E.A.M. Magnet Center students will receive support with core content learning, inquiry, research, and project based learning, along with being given the opportunity to explore interests, develop intellectual curiosity, and continue to build a joy of life-long reading with the aid of technology, through the process of collaboration, all while building community.  Daniel Webster Middle School and S.T.E.A.M. Magnet Center Library Media Center exists to provide a safe space in an environment that values respect, responsibility, honesty, and an appreciation of differences where academic progress and mastery along with social-emotional well-being are equally important. 

 

The Library Media Program accomplishes this by:

 

1. Being an integral part of Webster's learning community
2. Collaborating with teachers to create authentic learning for all students
3. Providing instruction in information literacy
4. Supporting the content curriculum and reading initiatives
5. Promoting life-long reading and learning, both for pleasure and for information
6. Providing scholars with materials that meet their academic and developmental needs
7. Providing our students with an inviting and safe environment
